Battery Maintenance Information
Battery Maintenance is an art. Making a charger that will maintain - 24/7 - all the different types of batteries available today takes a bit of thinking! The Platinum/Titanium/DUO range of chargers will maintain all types of lead-acid batteries including MF (Maintenance Free) and GEL.
We recommend that the maximum battery rating is 60Ahr, but any of these chargers will cope with a larger battery if needed - it just takes longer. A local farmer uses some Platinum chargers to keep his electric-fence batteries charged - and those batteries are 90AHr.
Unlike some of our competition, when our chargers 'float charge' they do float! They will drop to zero current when the battery is fully charged (you can see this on the Titanium V&A very clearly) and top it up as it needs it. Most of our competitors chargers give a constant current all the time.
